Bird of Paradise #2182 Inspired by a trip to Hawaii for our 40th anniversary. I just had to paint this dramatic flower in thread. By using Brazilian Embroidery and Stumpwork I was able to layer petals. There are only 3 stitches to achieve these precise petals: stem bullion and buttonhole. Threads you will need ~ Lola 308 and 121; Iris 308 ( 2 skeins) 230 ( 2 skeins) 149 207 130 and 407; Glory 122 and 157; Nova 121 and 207. EdMar rayon thread is not included in pkg. Included in the design package: fabric printed design with instructions for use of those three stitches; muslin backing fabric for working the detached petals and wire. Design size 7" X 9"
