Hummingbird & Fuchsia ~ #2103 A design being revisited, from a few years ago, it remains one of my favorites. Just about everyone likes Hummingbird. My tiny bird with a Stump work technique 'in flight' wing is about to get some sweet nectar from a colorful Fuchsia. Stitch instructions are found in Art of Dimensional Embroidery book, by Maria Freitas. Flower and Hummingbird instructions are included with petite bead for the eye, #9 or 10 milliner needle, wire and felt needle lace pad to work the wing on. The 'in flight' wing is really quite easy to stitch. Design size is 6" X 7" Stitches are stem, leaves, couching, bullion, cast-on, detached buttonhole, buttonhole and French knots. EdMar thread I used: Lola #215 and #315; Iris #50, 130, 131 and 315; Ciré $328; Nova #143 and Glory #50, 206 and 328.
