Happy New Year ! I hope you have had a nice start to this new year. I certainly have ~ on January 3rd, I retired from my full time job away from home and Threads in Bloom. NOW, I am looking forward to devoting my time to Threads in Bloom. Threads in Bloom began in August 1985, 28 years ago.
Thanks to many of you for your support over the years through many of my life’s and therefore Threads in Bloom highs and lows.
I am ready to began a new and very different chapter in my life. Not only will I be able to devote the time to Threads in Bloom that it deserves, but I looking forward to having time to do a little traveling, reading, much more stitching time ( there are a few new techniques that I want to learn ). It may sound silly but I am looking forward to enjoying cooking again – rather than the rush home and throw something together; and to have time to enjoy my home and being home.
So, you will be hearing from me more often with some new designs I have been working on. You will even see some different stitching techniques for Threads in Bloom, such as Cross Stitch, Huck and Needle Tatting. Who knows I may even add a little Ribbon embroidery to some Brazilian embroidery designs. There will also be some new products added.
This first week of retirement I will be getting some orders in the mail tomorrow; finish assembling the kits for the class I will be teaching at the Stitcher’s Retreat in Fargo, ND, taking inventory of thread and supplies for taxes and getting a few more things organized.
I appreciate all of you who have continued to order from Threads in Bloom – all future orders will be able to be processed much quicker now.
There will be an increase in thread prices that I will be doing the second week. If you need thread or want to stock up, this week is the time to do it.
Looking forward to hearing from you with any comments, suggestions or questions. Have a nice week.
