April Showers Brings May Flowers ~ This design has been on my mind for a long time, finally, it all came together with special elements to make it exactly what I envisioned. Cascading flowers and ribbons with flower sequins rain drops it makes me think of Easter Parade. The design package includes the fabric print design, 2 pieces of parasol fabric, wire, felt, ribbon, beads and of course the sequins. Stitch instructions are found in Art of Dimensional Embroidery book, by Maria Frietas, additional instructions are included. Design is 6″ x 8″ Fabric is 12″ by 15″
Stitches used: Buttonhole, overcast, stem, couching, French knots, regular leaf, cast-on, cast-on double stitch, double cast-on, bullion, lazy daisy (aka: detached chain) and Hungarian braid. EdMar thread I used: Glory ~ 050, 114, 136, 144; Iris ~ 050 & 103; Frost ~ 104; Lola ~ 013, 103, 125, 142, 225. The Mill Hill beads used are: #02101 & #00161 (included in design pkg.)
Additional supplies: assorted size Milliner needles (including #9 or 10), rayon sewing thread, Chenille needle for the ribbon, old scissors or small wire snips, straight pins and pencil along with your normal BDE stitching supplies.
