Hello ~ are you about ready for the Holiday Season ? Halloween is closing in on us. I am trying to finish intructions for two new Winter Season bookmarks.
Also in the finishing stage are the instructions for the 3rd set of regular bookmarks. The next set will be the Berry flower and Daisies. Left and below.
I have the first step of the Dragonfly design sent to Nordic Needle… there is still part two and three to go. I am hearing that my class is almost full :-} There is just not enough time to do everything that needs ( or want ) to be done. Does that sound familiar ? Does anyone really have time to do everything we want to do. Retirement is 17 months away… count down is on.
New from EdMar a lovely green #234 is called emerald and that is what the color is – emerald. I am so anxious to use it ( there is something else to do ) To start I have it in Lola, Iris and Glory. It is available from EdMar in all 7 weights. I will be happy to get emerald in any of the other weights – just let me know.
Note: when I add a new color # it does not resort the numbers. Look at the end of the list for the new colors if you do not find them in numerical order.
EdMar is in the process of making a new color chart. They still have the variegated colors to put in. As soon as it is finished it will added to my site. If it is going to be awhile I will have my web host go ahead and add the solid and shaded colors. They will be mixed together by color. All colors will be shown, up to current #234. In the Winter Bookmarks for the green I used #160, right before this new color was released. Next time I will use #234.
Small cards ~ There are large cards, mini and tiny cards, now we have small cards. They are the same tri-fold we love, because when needlework is inserted, glued or taped in place, the second fold covers the back of the stitching. They are 5.5 X 3.75. There are 6 per pkg: One each of green, ivory & white with oval cut out opening; one each of ivory & white with round cut out and 1 red with a heart cut out. $4.80 per pkg of 6 assorted. In the supplies and accessories department at www.threadsinbloom.com
Eversharp pencils ~ You often hear me mention that I use an eversharp pencil to trace my designs. Some may refer to them as Drafting pencils or automatic pencils, because you never have to sharpen them. They are the kind you push on the eraser or side tab to extract and retract the lead. I prefer these because I like a very sharp pencil whether just writing or tracing. Regular pencils lose their sharpness after a few words or tracing lines. You can pick them up in the Super Markets, Drug Stores, Office supplies or my favorite place – the $ stores/trees… I find them there in pkg of 4-5 for —– yes of course, $1.00. I found some there the other day that are really fun colors and designs.
Now, I better get to Threads in Bloom e-store to add the new thread color and cards. Book marks will be added in a few days – I am completing the instructions.
Oh – two pictures I wanted to show you that I took this morning. The pomegranate tree in the back yard is really loaded this year. We will probably squeeze them for juice around Thanksgiving
Thank you very much for your time and your business ~ I really appreciate both. Have a wonderful week
