A note to let you know I have been home for a few days. I had a wonderful and memorable reunion
with some stitching friends. Besides stitching, shopping, meeting some fellow stitchers, going to restaurants, we did a road trip to Cheyenne WY., Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park. This is my favorite picture that I took…look at that amazing blue sky….. But, it was nice to get home.
All orders are caught up and have been mailed or in the mail today, except one that I received this AM. Thank you to those who placed orders while I was away, who waited patiently and extra few days for my return to get your orders filled. The 2018 BEDIG Seminar has began or about to. I know it will be amazing; I had a wonderful time when I was there in 2015 and hope to go again in the near future.
Since returning I have drawn a new design, began stitching it, prepared a Thread painting design to start and working on a little Hardanger pin cushion; done some sewing. Ready to start a new tote bag and make me a simple apron to carry things around as I go outside, gather eggs and pick up things in one room to put them away in another where they belong. I think the vacation, reunion with stitching friends did a lot for me. I feel so much more invigorated, also it is fresh blueberry season here. Karl went out a few days ago, picked over 6 lbs., that really helps my inflammation…feelin’ good !
Besides Through the Arbor, being taught at Seminar by Mary Crichton, I had two other designs reprinted; Gathering Wreath #33 and Flower Garden Basket (aka: Just Picked) #63. In the Flower Garden Basket, the bright yellow flowers I used DMC floss and a Punch Needle. If you do not have a Punch Needle and do not want to purchase one, you can do Turkey work instead. I have stitched Basket of Flowers many times, stitching different flowers, making it a versatile design. Gathering Wreath is a good beginner design. It has 3 different flowers, all using bullions, stem stitch, leaf, French knots and pistil stitch. Complete this piece into a pretty pillow. Some have ask about Yosemite Dogwood #2134, it is now back in stock. The sets of Bookmark designs are back in stock. It is time to start working on those Christmas gifts or to have some on hand for those last min. gifts: bookmarks, needle books, cards. With this I will leave you with happy stitching thoughts and Stitching Keeps our Souls Content.
I look forward to receiving your orders, comments and/or questions. Sharon ~ Threads in Bloom [email protected] www.threadsinbloom.com
