The hardest part of doing a newsletter, is this first sentence – so here goes… I am suppose to be working on the last little bit of my Halloween outfit for our office party this Friday – I can do it tomorrow night, right. Only problem is I have been thinking that for the past few days. Tomorrow night it has to be done for sure. I work at a great place. We have a really fun Halloween party every year – games, prizes, lunch is brought in. There is usually some entertainment by the other employees ( I do the cheering ) We have a 4th of July party and Christmas party. Of course, all this makes us work harder and better for the company. I was looking forward to retiring at the end of next year, but have decided against that, if my health is still good, mainly because I enjoy where I work, the benefits are great and the people are work with are wonderful. I am so lucky to have this job.
Finally, I have news from the Zweigart magazine, At Home with Needlework. My Brazilian embroidery and Stumpwork design will be in the next issue, which will be out sometime in November. I am so anxious to see it in print and hoping for a positive response. I hope you will look for the magazine. When I have a date for the release, I will let you know.
I am also working on another project for a different magazine that is scheduled to come out next Spring. I will keep you updated as time gets closer to release date for this one too. I am going to work on it tonight, before I iron my clothes for work tomorrow, get my lunch ready for tomorrow, etc.
The Morgan 5″ No Slip hoops are back in stock. For those who had to wait to get theirs – I appreciate you. When you use your’s you will know why I like them so much. In fact, I decided to close out the Spring Hoops that I have carried for years. I only have 5 in stock, but have them on SALE for $2.00, the regular price is $3.50. Have you been thinking about Christmas gifts ? I would like to hear what you are working on. My family does a simple exchange and I think fun.. My sister-in-law makes apricot jam from their apricot trees. We always look forward to getting a jar of that. My nieces always make something or gives us a favorite recipe and the non perishable ingredients to make it. One year I made my Brother a favorite cake of his that our Mom made and gave him the recipe. My now 9 year old great niece knits something for me and I give her yarn or this year I am giving her and her sister some dish towels, patterns to embroidery on the towels, the thread and hoops. I am trying to finish some Huck embroidery on some towels to give and get the Pomegranate Jelly made in 3-4 weeks, when the Pomegranates are ready.
Here is a cute little EdMar Christmas Pine cone KIT #K2054. It includes the fabric print design, with the thread and needle. The design size is approx. 2″ X 2″ so it will be quick to stitch and make up easily into an ornament or frame in one of the ‘Gift” cards ( in the Stitching Necessities department ) It is very reasonably prices for a complete kit.
It is getting late and I do want to embroidery after I get things ready for tomorrows work.
Thank you for your time and your continued support. I look forward to your notes and comments or questions. Have a nice week. Stop by the www.ThreadsinBloom.com e-store for a visit and take a look around. And of course always remember: Stitching keeps our souls content ~ Sharon
