First, I will bring you up to date on my chickens, so many have ask how they are doing. I call them my therapy chickens because they always make me smile when I see them. They usually are waiting by the door for me ( I am sure this is just to see what treat I brought for them) all 7 are the same age, but one of the Ameraucanas had not laid any eggs ( all the others have been laying since the end of October) Well, Molly laid her first egg a couple days ago. It is funny, seems like her whole personality changed; like she is thinking ‘I am a big chicki now’. Wow, just think how I would be if I had Grandchildren, when I talk so much about my chicks.
OK, now to what is new ~ I just added 6 designs. Pentagon is the primary of the six – then by request, I took the 5 part design apart into
individual designs so you can stitch one of the motifs, all 5 on their own or the 5 in one design = Pentagon. This design actually evolved from the little hand painted ceramic flower pot in the center of the design.
Clay Pot & Silk ribbon Roses, the hand painted ceramic (included in the design package) is filled with silk ribbon roses and stumpwork leaves.
Larkspur on the right was fun to stitch. In searching this flower I found so many colors of Larkspur – one was really pretty blues, but I was keeping with the pink/rose colors. The little yellow flowers are Elysse, with permission, borrowed from one of EdMar designs…I have made some minor changes. Berry Flower & Bow ~ A cute hanging flower with a fun Bow has a Rolled rose for the knot. Button Roses and a Turtle ~ These little roses are so easy and quick to stitch, and see the little turtle munching in the grass? Daisies and Mushrooms ~ I really enjoyed stitching these pretty daisies, using a Stumpwork technique

Each separate motif design package includes a tri-fold card to frame your finished piece for a gift card.
Doing some small projects and designs I found my 5 & 7″ hoops to large, when I can use a small piece of fabric ( often left from a larger project) I found these little 3 & 4″ wood hoops of a very good quality for the price. You may want one of each size at only $3.00 each. https://threadsinbloom.com/product/wood-hoop/
What else is going on at Threads in Bloom? I am working on a series of designs for cards, I am going to use some of DMC Light Effects and Diamant threads for some a little ‘bling’ (are they still using that word – or am I behind the times as usual?). Also in the works is a sampler that will be good for beginners and experienced alike. It will use all the different EdMar threads and basic stitches, plus. I have gotten a little distracted with a Swedish Weaving sachet bag. I will be seeing my previous boss and friend later this week, I will fill the little sachet bag with aroma beads, tie it with a pretty ribbon to give her (probably a doz eggs too). Then I did a needle book that I used my Rolled Rose ornament design – made a nice size for a needle book and something different to do with that oval design. This will go in my ‘gift’ box to give later. I always have a few things tucked in that box; needle books, scissor fobs, tea towels and hand towels that I have done a band of Swedish Weaving, a few stitched cards ~ ready when I want a last min. gift. It might be a hostess gift, a no reason gift or to say thank you. So now it is time for me to settle down and get some ‘work’ done. If I should call it that – over 30 years of Threads in Bloom has never become work. I have also enjoyed visiting with many of you on a personal level – which is one of my biggest pleasures of Threads in Bloom.
Thank you for your time and your business. It is you who has enabled Threads in Bloom to exist for over 30 years.
