Good afternoon ~
Thanksgiving is almost upon us. Karl is doing some recipe experiments today to take to my Brother’s for Thanksgiving. I will take my traditional Pomegranate Jello salad – it has been a family recipe for over 50 years.
Well ~ my NEWS is that I have made a REALLY BIG decision for me and Threads in Bloom ~ After 33 years, I am selling all of my thread inventory (except my personal stash) and will sell the rights to my Threads in Bloom designs. When this is final (around February 1st) I will let everyone know who has purchased the thread inventory to be sure you can continue to get your supply.
From now until the end of December ALL THREAD WEIGHTS will be on SALE for $1.75 per skein. Limited to stock on hand. I am in the process of doing a thread count, as I go through them, I will take them out of inventory..but until I can go through each weight, if you order something not in stock, I will let you know.. I can substitute something close or send you a refund for what is not available. www.threadsinbloom.com/thread
Designs will be put on sale as I can go through them to know exactly which ones I have left and/or note they are out of stock. I will send more information as things progress. EdMar designs will go on sale at a later date.
Why ~ It has been on the very back of my mind for a number of years, actually since I lost the love of my life, Ed. But as usual Threads in Bloom as seen me through many hard times in my life and I still needed to rely on Threads in Bloom. The past couple of years I have not been as creative with designing – 33 years is a long time to keep coming up with new ! A little only has to do with my age and health. I am very healthy, except for my sciatic ( I get injections every few months) and arthritis ( injections help that too) at my 73, who doesn’t have some aches & pains. I have been enjoying my fabrics again for the past several months, I want to spend more time on other types of needle work.. My son is already planning on what he can do with the space where all the thread is stored… Last week, all of sudden, I just said, “now is the time” .
I am not going entirely away – I am keeping the business name and license – who knows, I may want to use it for some of my fabric adventures, never know what the future will hold. Besides, Threads in Bloom is so much of who I have become, who I am, it would be like giving up my heart to give up the Threads in Bloom name. I will still be on FB and email. None of this is final until next year. I have made so many friends through Threads in Bloom, some very long time friends, whom I have never met face to face..but none the less, very good friends. Because I still love BE I will keep my membership with the BDEIG and hope to attend another Seminar. This has been such a BIG decision for me and I REALLY thank all of you for all you support over the many years.
I look forward to receiving your thread orders. Of course the sooner you order the more likely the thread you want will still be in stock.
